William T Dutton & Pamela (Gage) & Lydia (Johnson) Dutton
William T, the son of Nathan Bigelow Dutton (1781-1838) and Sarah Turner Baldwin (1805-1849), William Turner Dutton and his wife, Lydia Johnson, owned the large farm located halfway between Ripton and Goshen on the Goshen-Ripton Turnpike. His son Lewis Tippecanoe Dutton was a war correspondent for the Rutland Herald in the early stages of the Civil War.
