• Notes

  The son of Enos and Chloe (Warner) Dutton. Married Matilda Lay (b. 1797) on 16 Oct 1816 in Schoharie County, New York. They had three sons: Horace (b. 1817), Henry (B. 1820) and Ezra (b. 1822). Matilda Dutton died in 1824. Second marriage: Reginah "Rena" Cooper (b. 1802). Married on 24 Feb 1825 in Broome, Schoharie Co., New York. They raised a large family of ten children--remarkably, all sons--between 1825 and 1845. Eldest son Lucius died in 1854 and son Gaius died in 1856. Julius died at age 78 in 1870 and was buried at the Dutton Ridge Family Burial Ground in Broome, Schoharie, New York. [4]
