He married, second, intentions Aug 19,1775 at Bedford,MA, Katherine Hartwell. She was taken by her children to Victor, Ontario Co, NY, where she died in 1803.

From Bedford,MA, he moved to Charlemont in 1778, where his second wife's relatives were located. He was an expert mathematician, somewhat of a chemist, and his
favorite subject was mechanics. He was Constable, and Surveyor of Highways in Reading and in Charlemont. His house in Charlemont stood on Meeting House Hill. [2]
