  He was born sometime between 1482 and 1494. He was the son of Walter Yorke (1470-?) (Mayor of Exeter), and Welthian Yarde (1472-1521). Roger married Eleanor Luttrell, daughter of Sir Hugh Luttrell (Sheriff of Somerset and Dorset), and Margaret Hill. Roger and Eleanor are the parents of the following known children: Thomas Yorke Andrew Yorke William Yorke Elizabeth Marie Yorke Percival (wife of Edmund Percival) Phillipe Yorke Parker (wife of Richard Parker and Roger Prideaux) [2]
