2		Edwin & Amanda (dutton) Stockholm LA PLATA HOME PRESS, La Plata, Missouri February 17, 1949. EDWIN R. STOCKHAM ...E. R. Stockham, son of George and Ella Stockham, was born near Novelty, Missouri on September 20, 1876 and died at his home in Atlanta, Missouri on February 14, 1949 at the age of seventy-two years, four months and twenty-four days. ...He was married to Amanda J. Dutton on December 30, 1900 who survives. He also leaves four children, Carl E. Stockham of Edina, Missouri, Mrs. Edith Vose of La Plata, Missouri, Otto C. Stockham of Leonard, Missouri and Denver Stockham of Atlanta, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kenneth, Mary Jeanne and Claude, Jr. Stockham and Larry Vose, and a cousin, Joe Stockham of Macon, Missouri besides other relatives and friends. ...Mr. and Mrs. Stockham lived on a farm, two and three fourths miles north of Cherry Box the majority of the forty-eight years of their married life. In October, 1947, they bought property and moved to Atlanta, Missouri. ...Mr. Stockham became a member of the Cherry Box Christian Church in the fall of 1900 under the pastorate of Rev. J. W. Davis. He also helped with the Eucebia Church and cemetery. ...Funeral services were conducted from the Cherry Box Christian Church Wednesday, February 16, at 2:00 by Rev. J. L. Shoemaker of Shelbina, Missouri, a former pastor, and burial was at the Eucebia cemetery. ...The pallbearers were Luther Turner, Steifel Wilkerson, Floyd Rogers, Edmund Kaser, Derby Johnson and Clarence Doyle.
